My Roles + Values
Guided by Nature, Art, Healing, Community, Education, and Reflection, these values remain steady even as the forms of the work change.
Nature
Witnessing, observing, connecting with, and reflecting on the natural world — and gathering community around these practices.
Art
Engaging, enjoying, expressing, and experimenting freely with creative process — and gathering community around making.
Healing
Offering, receiving and building ethical, accessible community around healing.
Community
Building, nurturing, leading when needed, and being nourished and guided by collective relationships.
Education
Learning, teaching, exploring, reflecting, and growing together through shared inquiry.
Reflection
Sharing writing, frameworks, and documentation as a way of making meaning and learning alongside peers.
I’m Keaton (or just K) Wood, an Early Childhood Educator, artist, writer, reiki/energy work practitioner, trauma-sensitive yoga and meditation guide, tarot and astrology reader, and group facilitator.
NATUREMBODIED COLLECTIVE:
THIS SEASON

THIS SEASON IN NATURE
We are in a collective water element season (winter) that asks us to pause more, be still, reckon with clarity that comes from the quiet we are willing to keep nurturing within. I hope for more wisdom to flow in through dreams and creative meandering as the air is more often still with gentle falling snow. Crisp days and nights are striking as they are a shock to the system. We are not guaranteed constant ease, nor is it good for us but we are built to overcome and find ourselves more nourished and robust along the way as our agency is revealed by our actions. Read more in the winter newsletter here.
THIS SEASON IN EDUCATION
I am in Sally Huey's (Wunderled Teaching) Become A Voice For Play 10 hour training that is a fascinating, active and in-depth look at trusting ourselves and sharing authentically…it was changed my confidence and communication with children the most so far! I look forward to integrating more lessons and applying them to be more grounded in myself, present and genuine with families and colleagues.Read more in the winter newsletter here.
THIS SEASON IN COMMUNITY
The planning and foundational work for my ECE Community of Practice Gatherings began alongside my co-facilitators! I created the preliminary frameworks for us to guide our first meeting set for March 1 2026 at 2pm in-person at a cozy spot in Etobicoke. Read more in the winter newsletter here.
